Structural Engineer (Porto, Portugal)
Job Description:
- Conduct precise stress analyses of metal and composite structures using a range of modern methods to support part and assembly designs, production activities, and any necessary changes in engineering processes.
- Apply structural engineering principles in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to develop innovative solutions.
- Provide critical data and insights at design reviews, contributing to both development and certification milestones.
- Assist in creating and executing testing procedures to verify that systems and components meet all required standards and specifications.
- Prepare and finalize documentation for compliance, ensuring it reflects the highest standards of engineering practices and is fully comprehensive.
Requirements:
- Familiarity with European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) regulations.
- Understanding of structural engineering principles and design.
- Experience in aircraft programs related to primary and secondary structures.
- Proficient in FEM analysis and manual calculations, utilizing traditional stress analysis methods.
- Knowledgeable in F&DT strength analysis and validation for aerospace primary structures.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Master’s or bachelor’s degree in a relevant field from an accredited institution or equivalent experience and education.
