Structural Engineer (Porto, Portugal)

Job Description:

  • Conduct precise stress analyses of metal and composite structures using a range of modern methods to support part and assembly designs, production activities, and any necessary changes in engineering processes.
  • Apply structural engineering principles in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to develop innovative solutions.
  • Provide critical data and insights at design reviews, contributing to both development and certification milestones.
  • Assist in creating and executing testing procedures to verify that systems and components meet all required standards and specifications.
  • Prepare and finalize documentation for compliance, ensuring it reflects the highest standards of engineering practices and is fully comprehensive.

Requirements:

  • Familiarity with European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) regulations.
  • Understanding of structural engineering principles and design.
  • Experience in aircraft programs related to primary and secondary structures.
  • Proficient in FEM analysis and manual calculations, utilizing traditional stress analysis methods.
  • Knowledgeable in F&DT strength analysis and validation for aerospace primary structures.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Master’s or bachelor’s degree in a relevant field from an accredited institution or equivalent experience and education.
